As we enter the fall season, I’m super excited to introduce you to this delicious Maple Pecan Pie! If you can believe it, there isn’t any corn syrup in this either. We’ll be using maple syrup and little bit of flour for the thickening agent instead of corn syrup. I love a good pecan pie, but the flavor of maple in it makes it even better. For the crust recipe, we will be using my 5-ingredient Flaky Pie Crust.
Another great thing about this pie is that it is super easy to make if you are on a time crunch. Just place the pecans in the bottom of the crust, and then pour in the mixed filling ingredients. It’s that simple! It’s honestly something I’d trust my little brother to make and not fail.

Tips
You may have heard that if you use maple syrup in a pecan pie instead of corn syrup, the pie won’t set. That’s somewhat true, but the flour we’ll be adding to the filling will thicken it. I also add Canadian treacle, and it really deepens the flavor. If you don’t have treacle, you could substitute with dark molasses.
They key to having perfect slices of this pie is that you really need to let it cool. This would be one of the pies that would be best if made ahead of time.
Like I said earlier, you will want make sure the unbaked pie crust has chilled in the fridge for at least an hour, or other-wise it won’t hold its shape through the baking time.
